All members of the Lamorinda community are invited to attend a Diversity Dinner, hosted by the Orinda Progressive Action Alliance and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. The evening will feature a vegetarian potluck dinner and a panel of speakers from 10 faith traditions and one atheist. Bring your questions for the speakers! This is a unique opportunity to come together with our neighbors and learn about belief systems we may never have encountered.
Please bring a vegetarian potluck dish to share.
Childcare is offered for children under age 6. Children 6 and older are encouraged to listen to the discussion.
A small donation of $10 per person is requested, which will be forwarded to World Hope Corps (http://www.worldhopecorps.org/). The funds will be used to help support the organization and also to fund a trip by Rev. Michele Robbins to Uganda and Malawi to work on women's empowerment and ending domestic violence among Christian and Muslim groups.
